*In 1991,
Leila Seth was an Indian judge who served as the first woman judge on the Delhi High Court and became the first woman to become Chief Justice of a state High Court, Himachal Pradesh High Court, on 5 August 1991. She was also the first lady lawyer to be designated as a senior counsel by the Supreme Court of India.

*In 2019,
Indian government announced it is changing the status of Indian-controlled Kashmir from a state to a union territory, revoking Article 370 in response to security concerns.

Ambi Subramaniam is a violinist, composer, and educator. He started performing on stage when he was six years old and was described as the "new king of Indian classical violin" by the Times of India. He was also described as 'India's 24-year-old Itzhak Perlman' by the Ozy Magazine.

Nalini Das was a Bengali writer. She was one of the managing editors of the Pioneering Bengali children's magazine Sandesh.
Nalini Das created a series about popular female detective group of Bengali literature. The Goenda Gondalu , are story of adventures where four young schoolgirls solve mysteries.
