India legend Sunil Gavaskar created history on March 7, 1987, as he became the first batsman to score 10,000 runs in the history of Test cricket. Sunil Gavaskar managed to score his 10,000th Test run in his 124th match which was played against Pakistan in Ahmedabad.

*In 1814,
Battle of Craonne was a battle between an Imperial French army under Emperor Napoleon I opposing a combined army of Imperial Russians and Prussians led by Prussian Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher. The War of the Sixth Coalition engagement began when the bulk of Napoleon's army tried to drive Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov's 22,000 Russians off the Chemin des Dames plateau to the west of Craonne.

He was born on 7 March 1734 as fourth son to Asaf Jah I and Umda Begum. His official name is Asaf Jah II, Nizam ul-Mulk, Nizam ud-Daula, Nawab Mir Nizam 'Ali Khan Siddiqi, Fateh Jang, Sipah Salar, Nawab Subedar of the Deccan.

*In 1975,
Captain Keishing Clifford Nongrum, MVC, was an Indian Army officer of 12 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry, who was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra, India's second-highest gallantry award, for exemplary valor in combat during operations in the Kargil War in 1999.

Uday Merchant, 
was an Indian first class cricketer. The brother of Test player Vijay Merchant, Uday was a right-handed batsman and played in the Ranji Trophy for Bombay.
