*In 1940,
Pinocchio is a 1940 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and based on the 1883 Italian children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. It was the second animated feature film produced by Disney. Pinocchio was a groundbreaking achievement in the area of effects animation, giving realistic movement to vehicles, machinery and natural elements such as rain, lightning, smoke, shadows and water. 

*In 1775,
Benjamin Franklin 
was an American polymath who was active as a writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher and political philosopher. Among the leading intellectuals of his time, Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, a drafter and signer of the United States Declaration of Independence, and the first United States postmaster general. As a scientist, he was a major figure in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics for his studies of electricity. As an inventor, he is known for the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin stove, among others.

Ramabai Bhimrao Ambedkar, first wife of B. R. Ambedkar, who said her support was instrumental in helping him pursue his higher education.

*In 1933,
Srikanth Kidambi, 
an Indian badminton player who trains at the Gopichand Badminton Academy, Hyderabad. He ranked as world number 1 at the BWF ranking in April 2018. Kidambi was awarded with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award in 2018 and Arjuna award in 2015. In 2021, he became the first ever Indian to reach the World Championships final in the men's singles and won a silver medal.

Sachindra Nath Sanyal, was an Indian revolutionary and a founder of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA, which after 1928 became the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association) that was created to carry out armed resistance against the British Empire in India. He was a mentor for revolutionaries like Chandrashekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh.

*In 1965,
Balwant Bhatt, was a noted Indian composer and musician of Hindustani Vocal Music. He was also known as Bhavrang (भावरंग). He died at his home in Varanasi on 2 May 2016.Balwant Rai Bhatt has been awarded Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1990. He was awarded Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2004. He was honored with the prestigious Kalidas Samman in the year 2007–08.
