*In 1925,
On 3rd February 1925, the first electric train ran from Victoria Terminus to Kurla on harbour line of Bombay.The first EMU train with 4 coaches of cement flooring 10 feet wide stock was flagged off by the then Governor of Bombay Sir Leslie Wilson at 10:00 hours from pf-2. The motorman was Jahangir Framji Daruwala.

*In 1928,
The Indian Statutory Commission also known as Simon Commission, was a group of seven Members of Parliament under the chairmanship of Sir John Simon. The commission arrived in British India in 1928 to study constitutional reform in Britain's largest and most important possession. One of its members was the future leader of the Labor Party Clement Attlee, who became committed to self-government for India.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Indian Super League club Bengaluru and the India national team. Sandhu was named captain of the India national team for the first time in friendly match against Puerto Rico on 3 September 2016, a match India won 4–1.

*In 1816,
Ram Singh Kuka, a Baba in the Kuka Samparda lineage. He is credited as being the first British Indian to use non-cooperation and boycott of British goods and services as a political tool. He also used the revolt of 1857 to his advantage and created the Sant Khalsa, he at a young age was a very humble carpenter from the Tarkhan caste.

CN Annadurai, popularly known as Anna also known as Arignar Anna or Perarignar Anna (Anna, the scholar or Elder Brother), was an Indian politician who served as the fourth and last Chief Minister of Madras State from 1967 until 1969 and first Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for 20 days (after Madras State was renamed Tamil Nadu) before his death. He was the first member of a Dravidian party to hold either post.

*In 2016,
Balram Jakhar, was an Indian politician. He was a member of parliament and served as Governor of Madhya Pradesh from June 2004 to June 2009. Before being governor, Jakhar was the 8th Speaker of the Lok Sabha, serving from January 1980 to November 1989. He was born in Punjab.
