*In 1595,
William Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet” is thought to have been first performed. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young Italian star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and, along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently performed plays. Today, the title characters are regarded as archetypal young lovers.

*In 1936,
On January 29, 1936, the U.S. Baseball Hall of Fame elects its first members in Cooperstown, New York: Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Christy Matthewson and Walter Johnson. The Hall of Fame actually had its beginnings in 1935, when plans were made to build a museum devoted to baseball and its 100-year history.

*In 1920,
 Balantrapu Rajanikanta Rao, 
was an Indian writer, composer and poet in the Telugu language. He was the son of Balantrapu Venkatarao, one of modern Telugu poet-duo "Kavi Rajahamsa" Venkata Parvateswara Kavulu. He won several national and state level awards for his work. He died in April 2018 at the age of 98.

*In 1954,
Mooji, Jamaican spiritual teacher based in the UK and Portugal.He gives talks (satsang) and conducts retreats. Mooji lives in Portugal, at Monte Sahaja.Mooji’s followers describe satsang as a “meeting in truth” where people come from all around the world, to ask questions about life, and seek peace and meaning.

*In 1968,
L. P. Jai,Laxmidas Purshottamdas Jai,  was a graceful right-handed stroke-player. Most of his finer innings came in the Bombay Quadrangular competition. He captained Bombay to the title in the first ever Ranji Trophy championship.The trophy awarded to the scorer of the fastest hundred in Ranji trophy every season was named after him.

*In 2010,
Ram Niwas Mirdha, was an Indian politician from Rajasthan. He served as member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from 1953 to 1967 and as speaker of the assembly from 1957 to 1967. Mirdha was as a cabinet minister of the Government of India for several departments during the 1970s and 1980s and became of member of the Lok Sabha for Barmer, Rajasthan, from 1991 to 1996.
