*In 1950,
The Supreme Court of India (IAST: Bhāratīya Ucchatama Nyāyālaya) is the supreme judicial body of India and the highest court of the Republic of India under the constitution. It is the most senior constitutional court, and has the power of judicial review. The Chief Justice of India is the head and chief judge of the Supreme Court, which consists of a maximum of 34 judges and has extensive powers in the form of original, appellate and advisory jurisdictions.
The law declared by the Supreme Court becomes binding on all courts within India and also by the union and state governments. As per the Article 142 of the Constitution, it is the duty of the President of India to enforce the decrees of the Supreme Court and the court is conferred with the inherent jurisdiction to pass any order deemed necessary in the interest of justice. 

*In 1887,
Eiffel Tower is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower.
The tower is 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building, and the tallest structure in Paris. Its base is square, measuring 125 metres (410 ft) on each side.

Lala Lajpat Rai, was a British Indian author, revolutionary, and politician. He played a pivotal role in the Indian Independence movement. He was popularly known as Punjab Kesari. He was one of the three members of the Lal Bal Pal triumvirate.He was also associated with activities of Punjab National Bank and Lakshmi Insurance Company in their early stages in 1894. He died a few weeks after sustaining severe injuries during a baton charge by police when he led a peaceful protest march against the all-British Simon Commission, a commission constituted by the United Kingdom for Indian constitutional reform.

*In 1925,
Raja Ramanna, an Indian physicist who is best known for his role in India’s nuclear program.Having joined the nuclear program in 1964, Ramanna worked under Homi Jehangir Bhabha, and later became the director of this program in 1967. Ramanna expanded and supervised scientific research on nuclear weapons and was the first directing officer of the small team of scientists that supervised and carried out the test of the nuclear device, under the codename Smiling Buddha, in 1974.

Gangadhar Vithoba Chittal, was a Kannada poet and recipient of Karnataka Sahitya Academy award. He was the elder brother of Kannada writer Yashwant Vithoba Chittal.He held several administrative positions for the Government of India and audited several Indian Embassies and Consulates. During the Quit India struggle (1942), Chittal amongst several others was debarred from his college due to his participation in the Quit India movement.

*In 1999,
Pochiah Krishnamurthy also known as Pochiah Krishnamurthy, was an Indian cricketer who played in 5 Tests in 1971 against West Indies and one One Day International in 1976 against New Zealand. He toured England in 1971 as Farokh Engineer's backup, and New Zealand and West Indies in 1976 as Kirmani's deputy.
